Introduction
Our Manufacturing client is searching for a Project Manager with experience in the Food & Beverage, pharmaceutical or Personal Care product industries to support their clients across Utah. The Senior Project Manager leads and manages the overall execution of customer CAPEX projects, from initiation to closing, utilizing the Project Management System tools, processes, and standard project management practices. Project scope may include Conceptual Design, Basic Design, Detailed Design, Procurement, Shop Fabrication, Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Anticipate safety issues, implement corrective actions, and report violations to the hierarchy.
- Plan and execute projects according to Boccard standards and internal best practices.
- Deliver projects based on the commitment to Safety First, On Time, On Spec, and On Budget.
- Manage projects ranging from small to multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Track execution schedules, identify variances, and assess impacts on critical paths and milestones.
- Prepare monthly budget reports and analyze technical and budgetary variances.
- Provide accurate “Estimate To Complete” and “Estimate At Completion” forecasts.
- Prepare quotations, draft proposals, and ensure alignment with customer purchase orders and scope.
- Act as the main liaison with project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
- Set and manage project expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor project risks and implement proactive actions using risk management tools.
- Document and manage project issues using an issue log; collaborate with the Quality Department to resolve non-conformities.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department for vendor selection and issue purchase requisitions.
- Validate vendor goods and services against specifications and scope.
- Prepare technical bid packages and conduct RFQ processes for mechanical installations and industrial components.
- Review and validate technical documents such as P&IDs, equipment lists, and 3D layouts.
- Coordinate shop fabrication and onsite installation activities.
- Organize and facilitate acceptance tests (Simulations, FAT, SAT, Qualifications).
- Support design reviews and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Oversee project punch-list completion and document handovers.
- Manage reserves, claims, and final payments.
- Conduct postmortem evaluations, document lessons learned, and report final project KPIs.
- Collect customer feedback through satisfaction surveys.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred: Agricultural, Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Process emphasis).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Hygienic Life Sciences (e.g., food, cosmetics).
- At least 5 years of proven experience managing CAPEX projects.

- Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
